The Romanian Athenaeum is a work of French architect Albert Galleron.
When it was build as well as in recent restoration years, it was financed by the general public. Completed in 1888, it
resembles an ancient temple.
As it is renowned worldwide for outstanding acoustics, the Romanian Athenaeum is
Bucharest's most prestigious concert hall and home of the Romanian
George Enescu Philharmonic.
